Are you an experienced engineering leader with expertise in macOS system software and cybersecurity? CrowdStrike is hiring a Manager, Engineering – MacOS Sensor to lead its Endpoint Security engineering team responsible for building one of the industry’s most advanced endpoint protection platforms.
This hybrid position is available in Sunnyvale, California, Austin, Texas, and Redmond, Washington, with employees expected to work onsite 2–3 days each week.
As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a talented team of macOS engineers developing the Falcon Sensor, a core component of CrowdStrike’s award-winning cybersecurity platform that detects and blocks sophisticated threats in real time.
About the MacOS Sensor Team
The CrowdStrike Falcon platform consists of two major components:
- Falcon Sensor: Lightweight software installed on macOS endpoints that continuously monitors system activity, detects malicious behavior, prevents attacks, and securely sends telemetry to the cloud.
- Falcon Cloud Platform: Aggregates security data across customer environments, correlates threats, and provides actionable insights for security teams.
As Engineering Manager, you’ll guide the development of advanced endpoint security capabilities, including:
- Static analysis-based threat detection
- Behavioral detections (Custom IOAs)
- Automated remediation
- Firewall management
- Removable device control
- Performance optimization for macOS endpoints
Key Responsibilities
As the Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing macOS engineering team.
- Drive delivery of the product roadmap and engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent.
- Allocate resources across multiple projects and product features.
- Monitor project execution, software quality, and delivery timelines.
- Promote secure software engineering and development best practices.
- Guide architecture decisions for macOS sensor development.
- Coordinate releases, support, and long-term technical strategy.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- 3+ years of engineering management experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong programming experience with:

- Experience developing low-level system software.
- Knowledge of debugging:
